This session will focus on how school leaders can help staff members catch the digital wave by using technology to enhance student learning and understanding. With the support of school leaders, assuring that life vests and water wings are always available, even the most apprehensive of teachers will be able to have technology work for them in the classroom. As a first-year technology facilitator/coach, I will share the unique and exciting perspectives I’ve gained while in this transformational role. These tips and fresh insight will help those new to a leadership role as well as invigorate those that have prior experience. We will be discussing how to fully embrace the ISTE Standards for Educational Leaders to be a Visionary Planner, Empowering Leader, and Connected Learner in your school. So much can be achieved when surfing the digital wave! Kowabunga!
