Designing Authentic Learning Experiences Using Digital Tools and Resources

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Participants will focus on designing authentic lessons that put learning outcomes and the needs of the learner first, then “ride the wave” to selecting appropriate technology to meet instructional goals. Ideas and strategies for designing learner-driven environments will span all K-12 grade levels and content areas. We will look at how Blended Learning, SAMR, Triple E Framework and ISTE Educator and Student Standards strengthen student learning through thoughtful integration of technology. During this session, we will explore a variety of available content lessons using resources such as Microsoft Educator Community, Discovery Education, Voice Thread and Flipgrid. Discussion will also include how participation in professional learning communities as learners and leaders motivates and improves teaching and learning in the digital world.
