21st Century Digital Presentation Alternatives

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The presenters will walk attendees through several new digital presentation tools, focusing on tips and tricks that allow middle school students to share performance-based assessments and take ownership of their learning.
With the new Virginia Profile of a Graduate, schools are encouraged to refocus attention on the 4C’s: Critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication. When implemented effectively, digital tools can foster these 21st Century skills.
Attendees will leave with the tools to assign, easily collect, and access projects for evaluation, focusing on Microsoft Sway and Sutori. Both web-based tools are available for free and accessible on several devices. The session will also discuss when each service would be useful and provide innovative example performance tasks that can be applied in several content areas. Special attention will be given to scaffolding instruction for students who are not computer-savvy, including instruction sheets to help students work independently.
