Google is the present and the future! To prepare your students for the future it’s time to teach them to be better Google searchers. BYOD to learn how to teach your students to do phrase searches with the Boolean AND, OR, NOT operators, to search for words and phrases in the title of a webpage, to limit results to a single top-level domain (.edu, .gov, and .org), to limit results to a single website, to limit results to a country (.de – Germany, .uk – Great Britain), to limit results to only PDF documents or PowerPoints, and to find animated images. After your instruction, your students will be expert Google searchers and ready for any current or future research projects.
