Welcome to Virginia’s world famous Technology in Education conference. Whether you are a first-time attendee or a seasoned veteran you will find the conference full of information ready to take back to your school or workplace.

No walk-in registrations are permissible. 

PLEASE NOTE: Using this tool to mark your personal scheduling preferences does not reserve a seat for marked sessions, nor does it register you for the conference.

We do not plan to have paper programs available on site. If you would like a printed program, please print a personal copy prior to arriving at the conference.

Khan Academy: Not Just Math Videos Anymore

We want to show people that while Khan Academy is still an outstanding resource for math teachers and students, there is much more to the site now. Their recent partnership with College Board has made the site an excellent destination for teachers/students of AP classes and for test prep. The site also has excellent resources for ESL learners. Not only are the videos able to closed-captioned in multiple languages, but the entire site can be changed to match the language that a learner might need. The ability for teachers to remediate, extend/enrich, scaffold, or just review is making the site an invaluable resource for teachers. Also, for those inclined, the data that is available from the teacher view as it relates to objectives and mastery has made the site a big part of special education teachers’ classes.
