Three years ago, Blue Ridge Middle used the structure of the master schedule to embed professional development during the school day. Each year, our teachers spend 10+ hours learning more about their craft, as well as leveraging technology to deepen their students learning. Now in our third year, we want to share our experiences with other schools in Virginia. Using our master schedule to demonstrate how we made it work as a school, we will take you through the process, step by step. We will share resources, ideas, forms, documents, lesson plans, lessons learned, links to materials and more.
Please bring with you to this workshop (either hardcopy or digital) - a master schedule of all classes in your school, your school's event calendar for the year (inclusive of field trips, clubs, assemblies, meetings and whatever else might alter the regualr school day.) If you don't have access to your calendar or master schedule, we will provide a sample.
