Participants will learn how to plan and execute project based learning units that utilize technology for students to engage in authentic learning tasks. Using examples from a 6th and 7th grade social studies classroom of all English Language Learners, facilitators will show how they determine what content, skill, and language goals students will master, how to develop activity guides that build the necessary skills for the students to successfully complete their projects, and how technology tools such as Tourbuilder and WeVideo allow students to show their learning in meaningful, real-world experiences.
