Technology is changing everything about the way we live and work. Computing skills are the most sought-after in the US job market, with demand growing 3X the national average — but girls across the US are being left behind. Today, less than a quarter of computing jobs are held by women, and that number is declining. Girls Who Code, the national non-profit dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology, is working to reverse the decline. Last year, we reached 90,000 girls in all 50 states with the help of our free Clubs program. In this workshop, we will provide you with an interactive coding lesson, as well as more information about our Clubs programs and how to launch one in your school or district.
