Classroom Clickbait - Tapping into Student Curiosity

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Have you been lured by clickbait before? It's those Internet ads you can't help clicking on because the images or words spark your curiosity. Wouldn't it be great if you could get your students to do that with learning? In this session we will explore five techniques from the clickbait pros that you can use tomorrow in your classroom to grab students' interest and make them WANT to engage in learning. You won't believe technique #5! (See what I did there)? We will show several examples of each strategy; share how we have used them in real lessons; and explore online tools for harnessing the power of classroom clickbait. All our presentations can be found on this site.
