We're at the beach, so let's take a deep dive into one of the most feature-rich assistive technology supports out there for students with reading disabilities: Read and Write. Bring your own device (laptops or Chromebooks are ideal, but we can work with tablets too) as we will be flipping the classroom, placing YOU in the role of student with a print disability with an assignment to complete. How can the features of Read and Write help you accomplish this task? Let's dive in and find out! Come prepared by downloading the Read and Write for Google Chrome Extension (http://bit.ly/2U1QH3M) or if you don't have a laptop or Chromebook, the Read and Write tablet application (https://apps.texthelp.com/). Participants will not only come away from this session with first-hand knowledge of the supporting features Read and Write has, but also ideas for how to integrate it into lessons happening in classrooms right now! Bonus content: Math supports for students struggling to read/write equations as well. The presentation can be viewed at https://www.bit.ly/ATDive.
