Using Flipped & Self-Paced Small Groups to Increase Student Agency

When faced with minutes that didn't add up, and not enough time for everything, I turned to flipped content lessons and stepped away from the typical 20 minute rotations to allow more time for small groups & engaging class activities. What I have found is that my attempt to maximize my time actually made my students take on more responsibility, and they loved it! No more listening to the teacher lecture during class! In this session, I will share various tools & strategies I use to give my students choice as well as responsibility for their own learning. I will also give an overview in how to create a flipped video using Powerpoint.
