Hanging Ten with the K-5 VDOE Computer Science Standards

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

In this session, elementary classroom teachers, librarians, and technology coaches will explore 10 “epic maneuvers” to surf their way to understanding and implementing the VA CS Standards. You will go from "kook" to "kahuna" as we share computer science details and hands-on exploration of these standards in action. We will discover how adding computer science goes far beyond coding. Learning the lingo, understanding computer science goals, and building capacity with computational thinking across curriculum will have you “slotted” for the VDOE Computer Science wave in grades K-5! By attending this session, you will have resources and hands-on activities to begin “shredding” the computer science implementation at your school.
