Moving from Boogie Boarding to Shredding the Big Waves: Using Interactive Video Assessment Tools

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

How can instructors measure the effectiveness of video interventions? Have you ever assigned your students an online video from Khan Academy or YouTube and then wondered how you could track which students watched the entire video, who clicked ‘play’ and then became occupied by something else, and, of those who actually watched, who was able to grasp the concepts taught in the video? This session will give an overview of two interactive video assessment tools (EDPuzzle and PlayPosit) that will help you move from boogie boarding with digital video in your classroom to shredding the big waves and using digital video more effectively as a learning tool as part of an online, blended, or flipped classroom.
