With equity at the center of educational practices, educators are under increased pressure to provide highly engaging and differentiated instruction to all students.
Learning Management Systems, whether it be Schoology, Google Classroom, or even a simply interactive documents, can play a powerful role in supporting the implementation of the 5C's . In this session we will discuss designing lessons that encourage the students to do the "heavy lifting" and are based in inquiry, interest, and encourage critical thinking. I will provide examples, for teachers and coaches, using a variety of learning management systems to demonstrate the workflow for both teachers and students.
We are going to look at the idea of blended learning that offers students both face to face and online learning opportunities. With a learning management system we are able to be proactive in designing lessons that allow students to develop, and grow, student equity. The aim for teachers will be to support students, plan personal pathways, and to develop a positive growth mindset regardless of the tool, LMS in this case, chosen. Our goal will be to use technology for deeper learning!
