Have you noticed we’re always trying to keep up and add new things because we feel we have to? What about sticking with what we have and trusting what is proven to work time and time again? It may not be the coolest looking or the newest invention, but at the end of the day we know it works and trust it. Ron Clark has called it, “a gift for teachers”, and his teachers have said it’s the last thing they would give up. It’s what students have said that allows them to be heard in the classroom when they would shy away from speaking before, and it’s a technology that empowers and enhances the teacher more than anything. What is it? Come hear from your peers about how using microphones in the classrooms and more has made current and future teaching and learning the most effective.
